Unintelligible Susurration

Promise - Poem by Unintelligible Susurration

If you really would
do as you say
you would not
miss me.

You would not leave
in the first place.
Promises need
to be kept
even if they're not spoken.

Perhaps you never
were really missing me
or promising anything.
You were glad
to see me drive away.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

There comes.a certain time or points in.your life when someone promises something. In this case, the author was promised that they wouldn't ever be alone and that they would be missed when they are away. Sadly, the unnamed character left and when the narrator left too, the character was happy.
