Poverty is the worst form of violence'' - - - -Antonia Tsitsi

The human beings suffer
and get no offers
from the fellow brethren
to cope with the famine

what luck have they brought?
it is bad luck that they have got
where parents were not in a position to feed
or obtain a free seed grain

what do the poor do?
simply pass through
and look at the sky
or turn to violence!

in an any of the option,
they can't have enough of ration
satisfy the hunger
and remain calmer

either they turn to criminality
or resort to brutality
snatch someone's bread
or get laid by the police

but many accept
and surrender to the fate
beg in the street
and live in open
