Poets (To My Friends At Poemhunter)
There are a few of us
who write verses,
scribbling for sense
scrambling to say something
scratching through
the syllables and symbols
for solutions and insight.
And though our ways
and our words are very different,
we share certain things -
a love of language
an urge toward articulation
an eye for the visual emotion
an ear that whorls with music
and a will to write.
