Paper Cut Poem by W.I. Stoneberger

Paper Cut

Rating: 4.8

The poem on the page
wields its words
into the scatter
of my mind.
I read it twothree times.
It is beautiful,
frightfully so.
After the book is closed,
the poem lingers
in the limbo
between thoughts,
like the tiny slash
of a paper cut.

So small,
it hurts like hell.

The tie up with the title and end is magnificent. It is me that is glad to find your work. A clever piece of writing. Top marks Karin Anderson
