Poetry Is The Making Of Good Gravy Poem by Mark Heathcote

Poetry Is The Making Of Good Gravy

Poetry is the making of good gravy
First, you require-good-ingredients
A vegetable trivet the meat sits on
Using stock reduced in constants.

Carefully remove 90 percent of the fat
Place on the hob over a high heat
Add alcohol to give a little fragrance
Simmer until the consistency is replete.

Taste it, ask did I achieve it
Have I got really cracking gravy?
Are my taste buds, tasting poetry
If not, thicken up or find it unfit.
