Patience Poem by Brittany Roper

Patience

Patience is a virtue
To many, it will have to be learned
But it should be considered a talent
For those who possess it
For it is envied by those who do not
Challenges in life are many
Mistakes are inevitable
Failure should not be feared
For if you don't risk failure
You shall never succeed
Patience will make success possible
And failure tolerable
As you journey through life
Stumbling over rocks
And finding the strength you never knew you possessed
To climb mountains that stand in your way
Priorities will change
Your goal will be reached
And patience will be rewarded.

I never thought of patience as a talent and all my life I've wanted more of it. This poem gives some nice insights to that elusive quality. I like the images of stumbling over rocks and climbing mountains. Keep writing!

Very nice. I especially like the part about never succeeding if you don't risk failure. Some basketball player (I don't remember who) said 'You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.'
