I saw him and I sighed with love,
He was tall, dark and divine,
His clothes, they fitted, like a glove,
I felt that he was mine.
His eyes were of the brightest blue,
His lips were mine to kiss,
If I'd been stuck to him like glue,
It would have been utter bliss.
He possessed such lovely dark brown hair,
With highlights sparkling through it,
This man was handsome, I declare
I loved him and I knew it.
But lovers we could not be at all,
Although he was Oh, so yummy,
He had no heart with which to fall,
He was just a shop window dummy!

The perfect ending, Ernestine! ! Good looks but no brain, you've probably met enough 'real' guys like that. Funny stuff! Brian
I'm laughing out loud (haven't done that in ages) . Thank you Ernestine. You have an amazing talent for building up expectation and delivering a humorous finale.
Had he been alive he would have loved your sense of humour! Good writing. H
