Okay, Be That As It May

Rating: 5.0

When you write something,
I immediately get drawn to it.
I get overwhelmed, stirred
By the words you write,
Which I assume you speak,
The words that are a reflection
Of your soft, sweet, tender mind.

After reading your words,
I look for you, your face and
Look for the pupils of your eyes.
My ears lie in wait, to hear
Your soft voice, as soft as
The sound of nocturnal dew drops
Falling on the inviting blades of grass.

I know that's not possible!
These two eyes will never see you,
These two ears
Will never catch your lilting voice!
Be that as it may, it's good
That you remain unseen, unheard!
Your imprints on my mind shall suffice.

Poetry acts as a medium to cement relationships. A poem can excite, move and inspire. Sometimes we fall in love with not only the poem, but its writer too! Here you romantically refer to one such 'connects'....! Beautiful poem!

That is a beautiful tribute to the power of the word in perhaps its strongest form- -poetry. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! A word used in almost all the comments on this- because it expresses that ideal we have often felt when we have connected to another human being so well! 10+++++++++++ and onto my fav list

A very unique and one of a kind thought. Words that are beautifully and powerfully woven can affect our mind so much that it may transport us to a different realm. Words and mind, acting together can propel one to to that dimension, something magical and enchanting.
