Oblivious Poem by Nancy Chanthakoun

Oblivious

You walk past me
Ignoring my pleas
You do something else
Like I’m invisible
You pay more attention to others
Than your love

You are oblivious to who I am
You fake a smile for your friends
Not even sparing me a glance
My feelings are hurt and you don’t care
I try to speak, but that’s just wasted breath
Why bother, when you’re so oblivious
