Nothingness Poem by Fakeha Siddiqui

Nothingness

Now is the time to listen
Quiet down, hear me now
Listen to this silence
What does it say?
You've been going too fast
Travelling with your ghosts
For far too long.
Can you close your eyes for a bit?
Tell me what you see
Is it dark or are you blank?
Nothingness is where you can't be rescued
It's okay to break free,
Of the misery, disguised as glee.
Crash when you're tired
Cry when you need to
Be angry when you can't get through
Give up… if you can.
