Not Receding Is The Best Revenge Poem by Hebert Logerie

Not Receding Is The Best Revenge

The best way, to defeat the critics,
The protagonists or the enemies,
Is not to act crazy or to recede,
However, the logical thing to do is
To be triumphal and to succeed.

Let nobody hold or press you down,
You must heroically climb back up.
Go back up like a spider; go only up, up;
And disregard or ignore the sorry clown.

Be rightly stubborn like a spring coil,
You're a human being, not a toy;
Even, if you're visually short, walk tall.

Walk tall like you run City Hall,
Show respect, and be proud;
To defend others, be loud.
