Tim Holmes Jr (1984 / Durham)
Not Mine, but Your Body
It's you I promise to love my fair lady
With this heart you gave me I'll do nothing shady
I have worked and eager as I wait on you today
There is a rage on the inside of me that I care to display
As you look at me with your big brown eyes full of beauty
My exhilaration controls me, make room my way
This battle that we fight you'd think we would need an army
But this bedroom you see, it truly our sanctuary
And the wars fought here are epic, hell more like legendary
Tonight my you want something different not plain or ordinary
You ask me to fill you with words, like we're in a library
Alright, OK, Cool I can do that, no problem I reply
Going through my rolodex of books and we'll take out missionary
I find the one full of meaning and descriptions and word are plenty
I had to began like I love to start, yep I sure did I warmed up your vocabulary
As I feel your intensity drip from my lips, I fill you will my dictionary
As satisfaction raises, it clear that your vision is blurry
You say, babe your words are like chocolate kisses I feel in my tummy
Please don't stop all these words, to me, feels yummy
This is no cookie cutter love; this can't be made in a factory
Because the love that we make, supersedes that which is mandatory
Truth be told my darling, my sweetie, my love you are truly and simply
The only one who's grammar is specifically made for my methodology
At this time I am calling you something like my secretionary
Why do you ask, this bed was dry… originally
As you try to get understand why this passion is well…. More than lovely
It's not our anniversary
Neither yours nor my birthday
Was today the day we decided to make a baby?
Let me explain something to you, so you know how I feel clearly
I love you more than words I can spell, literally
You put the special in my everyday
I love you more than the words I can say
Cause this love we share is completely revolutionary
It's progressive not stale not even stationary
I am thankful for being given such a marvelous beauty
Tonight I know you see more than my love, more than me being naughty
I am full of passion, overflowing with love, I am comprised of sensitivity
Because I am forever grateful that God put this spirit in not mine, but your body
