No Going Back Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

No Going Back

Going back, going back.
But your already gone.
Already gone.
Falling in silence.
Hand over my eyes.
Trying to imagine the world without the violence.
I could of saved you if I wasn't knee deep into the drug scene.
Just searching for my next high.
I didn't care what others did.
Just trying to get by.
Rolling with the fading blue sky.
There you sat next to that guy crying your eyes out.
Him trying to everything to just shut you up.
And later that night he would.
It would be the last time anyone ever say you alive.
The signs were obvious.
From the bruises on your neck to glasses you wouldn't take off.
A knee to stomach, a baseball bat to your ankle.
A detailed report of every single injury he ever inflicted written down upon reaching morgue.
How could've not seen it before now.
Why was I so blind.
I feel the shame of it every single day.
I will never make that mistake again.
Not my fault or responsibility I've been told.
That's bullshit and we both know it.
There are certain things that could of been down.
A hole dug not so deep.
With buried secrets I do keep.
A abritrary soul to redeem.
It's definitely mine don't you see.
Clearing a conscience from the books.
Holding your down in this running Brooke I know.
And taking pleasure from every moment struggle and beg.
Tell me what we're the last word she said I want you to hear them as your own.
