trust never an issue
always seeing the good in you
but yesterday i saw these eyes
you have them too

they are controlling
behind them only lies
to think you were different
from all those other guys

frightened beyond belief
cruelty and selfishness attacks me
covered by characteristics new
so i could not see

awakening me from my state of mind
where the world is my playground
now hearing the screaming
without one sound

they saved me from him
but not from you and your greed
you both have something awful deep within
I walk with God, he's what I need
