New Love, New Hope Poem by P.J. Lowry

New Love, New Hope

I feel her warmth and loving nature
whenever she takes my hand in hers.
In her eyes I can see a promising future
that could endure much over the years.

On days with her, problems seem to fade
for it is this companionship I truly miss.
Whenever I'm with her, I'm no longer afraid
of being left alone within a solitary abyss.

And as I look into her ocean blue eyes
it's hard not to appreciate my good luck.
To find a lady better than I could fantasize
that it turns me into a bumbling schmuck.

As I anticipate each call and text with glee
I'm hooked, that woman makes me feel free.
