New India
Friday,16th August 2019

No doubt, freedom was hard-won
but so much water has gone
in the river Ganga
we have nothing on card or agenda

partition was done for the motherland
we were committed to remain as a friend
but history has a different course or story to tell
we are suffering and there is nothing worse to reveal

the partition was very simple
only on the religion basis to struggle
now it has torn apart into classes and casts
everybody is putting on the masks

we speak of one nation
there is relation
and we got to survive from now on
let us defend and the commitment must be shown

great civilizations emerged
and in no time vanished
but left behind the legacy
we must speak about the only integrity

it is new India
it is the dream of new India and there should be no dilemma
let millions smile in the street
when greeting the wishes for greater India
