Nectar, Tears and Brine
Each time I look at yesterday
I ask the reason why
Why you are now so far away
In loneliness I am
Why should we ever have to part
And to blame, is it who
You always say that you are not
But guilt stares at you
The love we shared was warm as wine
And as nectar was sweet
But love like wine becomes stale
Like tears have briny taste
You have our story rewritten
In a parchment of grief
I have to act the story line
That you wrote with my tears
Here on the stage I'm now alone
And perform as you willed
Hoping you'll pull the curtain down
And all my sorrows end.
