Near A Bench Poem by Imam Setiaji Ronoatmojo

Near A Bench

I'm looking for a short bench on a sunny afternoon
Here the night was bright before seven
I was briefly in touch through cards marked International Dial
US $ 5 to send my homesick
In the warm hugs and kisses
I dream to live in words
As scientists who loves their world
'To write in a journal, I need US $ 250' he says
Or more... and the world is infinite love
'Life is not to beg but to give the word on the books'
And 'money is simply a marker of it'
'Although poor, we are rich' that I said to you in longing

(Champa Street, Denver, one afternoon 2010)
