Puisi Buat Pembatik (Indonesian)

Hidup membatik, memegang canting
Mengukir hidup pada kain
Ada warna merah membara dipadu
kuning
Ada warna biru dan hijau
Hidup suka dan duka
Kau pegang canting dengan cermat
Jika waktumu tinggal selembar kain
Airmatamu akan menetes
Bukan perpisahan yang akan ditangisi
Tetapi dharmamu sebagai pembatik
akan purna
Kain batik akan menempati museum hati
Kainmu akan dipajang sepanjang masa
Kain batik yang usang
Kain yang telah dibatik sepenuh hati
Pembatiknya adalah dirimu

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
