My Wishes Poem by Khairul Ahsan

My Wishes

Rating: 5.0

I wish to be a roll of blotting paper
That would soak tears from all the weeping eyes.
I wish my shoulders were broad enough
For all the mournful mortals to rest their heads on.

I know how bad it feels
To weep alone in a corner, bereft!
I know how difficult it is
To carry on with drooping shoulders.

I wish to sing a song of joy
To all the sorrowful, heavy hearts.
I wish to see tears disappear from downcast faces,
Tears replaced by a faint, flickering smile!

Only some unusual person would want to absorb all the tears and pain of others and console them at the same time. It shows a beauty and grandeur of heart far from common. Beautiful and compassionate person, poem as well. Thank you.
