I wish to be a roll of blotting paper
That would soak tears from all the weeping eyes.
I wish my shoulders were broad enough
For all the mournful mortals to rest their heads on.
I know how bad it feels
To weep alone in a corner, bereft!
I know how difficult it is
To carry on with drooping shoulders.
I wish to sing a song of joy
To all the sorrowful, heavy hearts.
I wish to see tears disappear from downcast faces,
Tears replaced by a faint, flickering smile!

Very generous heart and warmth of soul you have, really people around you could be benefited, lovely gesture, it speaks the true of your inner loneliness, no more solitary cry, thanks a lot dear for the lovely drop
Thank you very much, @V.m.saraswathy Munuswamy, for appreciating the poem with such kind words. Much inspired.
Only some unusual person would want to absorb all the tears and pain of others and console them at the same time. It shows a beauty and grandeur of heart far from common. Beautiful and compassionate person, poem as well. Thank you.
