My Wall Poem by Preston James

My Wall

Rating: 4.0

I like the way it hurts
to think of you
and what happened.
It makes me stronger,
allows me to build the wall
higher, between me and them.
They can't understand me,
even if they try.
I'm like a difficult riddle,
only few can solve me
none of which I have met yet.
'til then I wait,
gradually building
and eventually, no one
will be able to get in.

I like the symbolism of disconnecting yourself from the world in this poem!

The wall of introspection is always the wall to think better.Well conveyed in terms of poetry here.
