Christopher Cariad Poems

Lord Jesus,
I'm not perfect,
nor am I close to being.
I try to live for you,
...

The bursting veins of blood,
spewn across this throne.
Staining the great white drapes,
and bathing the souls bellow.
...

What did you see poor child?
What did you see?

I saw planes falling out of the skies,
...

There I was on the street corner
holding a sign that said, Jesus loves you.
When a little kid walked up and asked
why I was sitting there,
...

Your last breath
and here we are.
The funeral home
where we stand over your dead corpse.
...

One day I want to live in a world
where hands are held over guns.
A world defined by the blood pumping
through each of our veins,
...

History was meant to be repeated
The snow falls on the mountain
Only to slowly melt into the river
That flows back into the ocean
...

Christopher Cariad Biography

I'm a poet, My muse is this crazy world. Watch me as I wither away, Watch me as I leave tiny little little speckles of light though out the green pastures, through out the brazen desserts, Inside the broken homes of the abused, On the book shelves of the great wealth, On the minds of man.)

A Letter To Jesus

Lord Jesus,
I'm not perfect,
nor am I close to being.
I try to live for you,
but fail every waking day.
The world is full of problems,
but can anybody stop them,
since the judges are the worst of all?
Hate is the growing crime
of this world that forgot to love.
Wars are growing in number
and deaths mounting on your land.
With that said, I ask you today,
if I can do something to change their ways,
to help a world falling from grace?
Showing them love
and how it heals all things.
Not caring about religious beliefs
or even the color of the skin,
but love that extends to all.
No matter the stereotype,
nor the judgment.
A love to end all wars,
Lord Jesus,
Give me this cure.

Christopher Cariad Quotes

When I write, I write with my heart, my soul, my spirit... it all gets left on this paper. Everything that I am, Everything that I have been, Everything I dream and Everything I'm afraid of. Poetry is the catalyst that keeps me. It's the avenue I wish to always travel.
