My dear sweet prince
hear your mother's plight!
How she lost her heart
one fateful night!
On a dragon's back
the demon arrived!
With illusions of love
in her heart he did dive!
He turned her heart this way,
and twisted it 'round.
Till the woman she was
just couldn't be found!
How it angered you so!
You left on your quest!
There was love there before,
don't forget the rest!
You found and pulled the cord,
the top was spun!
The tainted damsel woke,
her freedom you'd won!
Off of the dragon's back,
the demon you fell!
Must she now perish too,
though you broke the spell?
My dear sweet prince,
this wish grant to me:
See my heart! My soul!
My love for thee!

An insightful tale of love, disappointment, sorrows, neglect, remorse..., well articulated and nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Leta.
