My Flaxen Angel Of Light Poem by Leta Dungan

My Flaxen Angel Of Light

Rating: 5.0

Flaxen haired angel, son of mine.
You scatter the clouds and bring sunshine.

Through it all your heart stayed true.
Your smile kept me from being blue.

You never abandoned this shattered soul.
You're the reason I'm still whole.

Broken and bruised I may be,
But your love keeps my sanity

Straight and true you stayed the line.
Angel of light, strong young vine.

When they took you, pulled us apart.
My darling son, it broke my heart.

I will get you back, I'll find a way.
I'll work at it every night and day.

Examine my life, every minute part.
They'll find no reason to keep us apart.

Your brother, The Prince, hath the demon killed.
You're shining light, hath my path revealed.

I have Ruby, loyal and true.
She's full of love, she misses you.

We wait for the day we see you again.
Our broken hearts we try to mend.

You grow so fast, so straight and tall,
I pray to the gods I don't miss it all.

Shine bright Flaxen Angel of Light,
shine your beacon of hope each night.

A beautiful portrayal of hope, faith, and love as one bears an irreplaceable loss with fortitude. A motivational poem written in good rhyme scheme from inner recesses of the heart. Thanks for sharing Leta.
