My Mirror Poem by Dipy Hermonite

My Mirror

Rating: 4.3

Oh Dear Lord oh my God I've got back my glow,
Friends told me today it's the mirror you know!
T'was showing me a girth that I couldn't swallow,
The chin was all double with my eyes sunk in hollow,
The hair all seemed grey did I see a bald patch?
Was this the young fellow who'd been a good catch?
So it had fooled me the rascal and even made me weep,
Had my friends not just told me I'd have not made this leap,
For now I'm trusting my mirror of 25 years back,
I'd married her then when my hair was all black.
Thereafter a princess had entered our lives,
She was sweeter than honey from any of the hives.
She too tells me Oh Daddy you are the strongest,
You are so handsome your hair is the longest!
So I've cracked the first mirror and have kept it at bay,
Thanks for making me wiser on this friendship day! !

Wonderful reflection is shared with trust on God and mind is interesting mirror here. Friendship with God is eternal and this does not break at all. So pleasing line is, Dear Lord oh my God I've got back my glow, . EXCELLENT! ..10
