My Mind Has A Mind Of Its Own

My mind has a mind of its own.
It's like a bomb waiting to go off.
My thoughts wonder into depths I'm afraid to discover
Always thinking, always creating stories, finding faults
Searching, searching for what? Answers to unknown questions
It's out of control. It's beyond my power
It's stronger than me.
My mind has a mind of its own

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
