Home In The Abyss Poem by Ninette Gumanda

Home In The Abyss

Look away...

she swayed this way... and that way.
A tormented, restless soul without a home
She was lost in the Abyss

Oh, look away...

But you're lost, little girl. They said.

So let me, she cried.
Don't you know? That magic only happens once you lose yourself?

I'll go, fear not for me. And if I don't return, do not mourn me.
Rejoice instead, for the girl who lost herself, and in the Abyss found herself.

For so it was that bottomless pit she called home.
