My Easy Life Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

I have now a somewhat easy life
Get tea in time in the morning
Watch birds and bees hovering
Around blooming buds and the
Tree tops shinning in sun's glow

I enjoy feeding the pigeons that
Come to sit on my sills and coo for
A long time shedding one or two
Of their plumes when they leave

I have now a somewhat easy life
Get much free time to wander in
The town meeting people, talking
With them about affairs of the
Country- the strikes, rising prices
Of essential commodities and
About their families and friends

I write about life sitting at the
Window and watching the soft
Clouds passing over the grove
Making and changing patterns
I really begin to love this free life
