you were cold but offered warmth
with an affection, you were superb
what to offer and what to miss!
I always remembered your sweet kiss on the forehead
you had depth like an ocean
but I had never seen
any worry lines on the face
even if you had the stress
people say"what is new in this"
if she discharged her duty to please
all the members of the family
i wondered why was she only chosen for this role by an almighty
are we doing the justice for her role?
or only remembering on this day to call
and remember her magnificent contribution
I this she was an embodiment of the pure relation
now, where do we find her?
in old age home or as a beggar!
I find in her eyes the reflection of the mother
and I can't offer her comfortable shelter
it has become ritual
for all the individual
to pay tribute on a special day
and forget her in a ceremonial way
