Mother India Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Mother India

To mother India
We make plea
For well being
For all my brethren to bring

The happiness that is most needed
The peace to which we are wedded
We offer peace with olive branch
We are committed and stand fast as staunch supporter

We have not counted
But always saluted
To the bleeding holy land
We pray and request them to make us understand

Not in past or not in present
We want to express and commit
Our resolve not to attack neighborhood countries
But help to overcome miseries

We want to show to the world
That we shall hold
And remain together
For any kind of peace that is offered

We know you are bleeding
Daily they are adding
Coffins to add
We ask” what makes them mad”?
