Morning Poem by George Hunter

Morning

It's getting light, the dawn is breaking
Let's not have a rude awakening.
It's time to get up out of bed
Time to rouse your sleepy head.
So carpe some diem while ye may
And drag your ass out of the hay.
Time to do and time to try
Do you want to lie there till you die?
Time to have a loving quick one
Time to have a little fun
And pray that you will have a son.
Shake your arms and wiggle your legs
It's time to cook some bacon and eggs.
Time to smile and have no sorrow
Save your troubles till tomorrow.
Time to drink a cup of Joe
A quick kiss and off to work you go.
