Misty Me Poem by Iris Mista

Misty Me

Sometimes I'm so unreal and weird
So doomed, ugly and smeared
It must be in plain sight to see
this is the invisible me

Hearing my own voice
my words as a surreal noise
With a skin misty as a separate layer
A heartbeat with an unknown prayer

My feet untouched with the ground
Buzzing ears missing every sound
Veiled eyes that can not clearly read
what others need to plead

In these moments I am so gone
I'll try to get it undone
I am so sorry when I am like this
because it is me you'll miss
