Time stands still,
In the void that is my mind.
Lost in the ocean of my thoughts,
Drowning in it's dark waters.
Struggling not,
Accepting the calm of a frozen thought.
Breathing despite no air,
Slowly embracing the flood.
Thoughts falling like a storm's rain,
Alone and drenched but warmer than ever.
No one responds,
Screaming for someone,
And only finding a reflection,
An echo that speaks freely.
The clock ticks,
But the hands don't move.
Still the strange calm is there,
forever Isolated but not wanting.
This is,
And always will be.
