Messenger Poem by Poetry Falcon

Messenger

You'll never know how much you mean to me
It hurts to know you're not mine.
It's even harder to sit and smile as you tell me
Stories of your crazy rendezvous.
I've managed to control the blood rushing to my head
The redness seeping in
But I quickly push down the fire
Forced out my fingertips.
My hands fall before me
The weight is too much to bare.
Your words are cutting deep beyond my flesh.
Your mouth is the messenger
Make it go away.
