Me Thinketh Thou Doth Talk Too Much Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Me Thinketh Thou Doth Talk Too Much

Why here comes the senator from our state,
Bringing with him a sweet speech about reform.
'Let's end war, we want peace, we want trust.'
'We want what you the people want, and that's a must.'

Why here comes the president from our country,
Bringing with him a sweet speech about honesty.
'We want trust, and that's a must. Let's end war,
And have peace in store.
Don't fight, and do what's right'

I hear too much talk, people talk
About what is wrong and right,
You people do things that are much,
That me thinketh thou doth talk too much.
