Lunar Eclipse Poem by Olufayo Ezekiel

Lunar Eclipse

A half dull lunar
rises on a mountain,
Foes and monsters in rage.

Power rules hearts,
Stars struggle with firelights.

A star night,
A star war.
Sooner it's going to be full.

What will be our portion?
When grudge brings enmity,
Rivalry turns war,
War alerts massacres,
And Massacres flow blood.

Where will be our Rome?
When spillage brings deaths,
When deaths message emptiness.

When love wears betrayal,
It's either we want or leave.

The moon is cold,
But the sun is hot.
And the moon is dull,
But the sun is bright.

But for tomorrow's seeds,
I hope our moon embrace the sun.

a war fought by terrorists is raging in the north of your country. Boko Haram is pure madness..! Your poems are well written and full of pain and hope. Thanks for sharing, Ezekiel Ti auguro un brillante 2015! Che sia pieno di Serenità e di Pace. I wish you a bright NEW YEAR 2015 filled with Serenity and Peace.
