Love and Art
- - - - - - - - - - -
So overcome is a love-intoxicated man
That he pours the wine unto the cauldron
When nearing is Krishna she sees
Radha smears kohl on face instead of lining her eyes
Such is the intensity of love and feeling
That comes from heart felt for a beloved being
Wrestling with the angle-Art
A bricklayer creates his masterpiece from his mystic heart
Though he is a poor and ignorant soul
His work touches your soul
Spanning days together through a maze of obstacles
He produces things beautiful
It's the result of labor of love
And not just being diligent and creative
What is done by head is borrowed
But what is done by intuition is created
See the difference between Hanuman and monkey
And Radha and lady
Transcend who, why, what, where and when
As love transcends all of these questions
Love and art belong to heart
When I say, ‘oh no more art'
Clouds come and I hold out my cup for more
Of that ambrosial rain water
Love art as art is therapy of life
Only then can you discover the beauty that is life
