Lost Relationship Poem by Ally White

Lost Relationship

Rating: 4.5

When you get the answers that you seek
You wish that the illusion of what you want
Was more than just another hopeless dream
A realisation that the destiny you see
That was never yours to keep

The hope that dies within your heart
When you can no longer tell yourself
The lie you wish you could hear
That everything that is broken
Can always be repaired

All that is left is grief and sorrow for the past
Wishing you could have back all the yesterdays that seemed like they would last
Trying to find a scenario where it doesn't end in a sea of tears
And finding nothing but sadness and numbness instead

i just set my goals so complex that i know all the time i won't get done and always remember what caused the self to want the relationship.

An insightful depiction of disappointment and distress occasioned by exit of blissful love ❤, well articulated and nicely penned in good diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing Ally.
