Lonely Path Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Lonely Path

Rating: 4.8

A lonely path in life they tread
Pair of eyes that beseech
for that one special sight
for that one and only sound
your voice my melody
I seek in a chorus
eyes till scanning hopefully
your silhouette, endless sea
scrapping my sighs from
where it gives company
to my heart sitting in a chasm
I bundle my unexpressed need
Oh life is a sour mead
I left behind yellow memories
Of things that could have been
A hundred births,
the same dreams unfulfilled
In earth's light, Man never gleans
All that can not be! ! !

Thank you Tirupathiji, yes life's scraps hold such memories.. I invite you to read some of my more intense and rather longer writes which I had added recently, One against a serious social crime - human trafficking titled All Trussed Up - Ready for delivery and a few others like Why Blame Me A Blood Moon and A Father's Grief. Thanks.
