Logic In Rhyme 6 (Limerick)

Poor old Frank, let's offer him a flower,
Fell from the boat at forty miles per hour.
Yes, he was killed, but yet
He didn't even get wet!
Can you solve this and show off your power?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
No solution was given when first published because this poem was offered as my April Contest. First solver was Uzefa Rashida of India, who has been added to my poem POETRY HEAVEN as her prize.

Why didn't he get wet? Because the boat was being towed at 40 m.p.h. on the highway and hadn't made it to the lake yet. Frank should not have been in the boat while it was being towed (it's illegal here in Utah)but it's too late to tell him that now. Good thing he's fictional, so he really didn't feel anything.

I like Bri's poetic answer on this one.

Ooh goodie I guessed it. Bri isn't as intelligent as me but he strives mightily.

KIM, you may not believe me, but i wrote the following BEFORE i read the Poet's Notes. Poor Old Frank Old Frank was playing a prank, hiding in his friend's new boat. The boat was on a trailer; after all Frank was no sailor. His friend “hit the road”, pulling the nautical load, Frank had to take a dump, so off the boat he did jump. [The boat had no head.] DUMB Frank ended up dead! Bri :)

If Frank could have just found a pail, out of the boat he would have not had to sail!
