Tree by roadside
In a tropical city's
In dry clay cover
Of termite colony.

Tree standing next
In a similar state
Draws my attention
To what'll happen.

Termites not only
Destroy dry wood
Attack live ones
Bringing their end.

Termites're social
Insects providing us
A model how to live
And help in ecology.

Dead trees and leaves
They send'em to soil
Helping forest growth
And healthy life on earth.

Let's use their help
Avoid destructive effects
And live together in
Peaceful coexistence.
