Limerick: Farmer Poem by AtreyaSarma Uppaluri

Limerick: Farmer

Rating: 5.0

There was a small town lad named Sarma
His dad dreamt he’d be into pharma
But his marks were so low
Ne’er they crossed a zero
So he’s trained to be a small farmer

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The poem in its beauty and style is good but the difference of opinion is the story one who has got zero bacame the farmer. In fact farming is the most noble and worthwhile job from the ancient human being who found farming as a job for a living. So always farmer small or big is beautiful. The poem is also beautiful.

'His dad dreamt he’d be into pharma / But his marks were so low / Ne’er they crossed a zero / So he’s trained to be a small farmer.' So his father's dream is dashed, he has to settle his son for a profession he himself has less regard. Brief but straight to the point.
