My Dream Girl Poem by AtreyaSarma Uppaluri

My Dream Girl

Rating: 5.0

She is breezing along a step behind
Her own piloting shadow inclined.

Her blooming smile unfading, vibrant and radiant
Causing envy among the belles flowery
Wobbling about and tittering on the boughs verdant
On either side of the avenue queenly.

Lo! Her swaying gait is bringing up a springy bounce
Kissed by the silvery sands of the earth, every ounce.
The gravelly streak, tickling under her footfall soft
Savours the pedal massage with sensation aloft.

Seeing the golden ray of the early morning sun
How darkness does split in twain and give way so sudden
Oncomers are stepping off into two files; on the median
Rolling out for her a rosy red carpet in the charming dawn
That she may, to many a flutter, glide on like a swaying swan.

Everyone is carried away to fall with her in love
Longing ever to cling to her and loath to leave.
Loves her with passion even her dress;
It hugs her in an airtight embrace
Leaving the wind god pale in the face.

The cushions of her downy bed so velvety
Resile and blush at the soft femininity
Of her creamy body as she is well set
To gently recline on the silky bedstead;
Like how the bushy branches of a lush green
Organic mango tree laden with fruits umpteen
Bend down to dodge the gusty draughts of wind invading
And fondle the damp earth with their leafy caressing.

I like it. You expressed what you wanted. It does seem like it was brought to life as Carl said. ~Aly<3

Though a long poem, one thing I especially liked about your write was that it was very expressive and made excellent use of quite vivid imagery, Atreya. It captured the beauty of this fair maiden almost as sharply and completely as a photograph. Many of us have seen just such a woman in our lives, the fairest flower in any garden, and to have had that privilege is a rare occurance indeed. Your poem brought one such lovely creature to life before our eyes! Carl.
