Like A Moth To The Flame Poem by Justin Gildow

Like A Moth To The Flame

Quiet my dear
Let's just hold each other for the time being
Let's just pretend there's no one else in the world but us
There's nothing to fear
Nothing to be afraid of
Let's just enjoy this feeling

It's the month of things being green
Although these days the grass is dead
And somewhere in the distance, there's a cloudburst
But we both know that besides those things
There's many wonders to be seen

Whether I hold you close to me in the sun
Or in the rain
Either way, in which I can hear you breathe as well as your heart beating
You and I can't help being in love with one another
You and I are just like a moth to the flame

Like a moth to the flame
We both know that from this moment on, that nothing will be the same
And it'll be a different feeling when the both of us say each other's name
It's a heart shaped world we're living in
And we're playing life's greatest game
