Lifting Spirits Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Everybody has the hidden wish...
to get praise from others
in words or actions
even in an imaginary world
like the social networking sites
the number of 'likes' matters
the motivation works...
through a complex mechanism
to invoke 'energy'
to lift the spirits
But....
'praise', a scarce commodity
not available always
even somebody's non-stop praise
can dampen with time
if not reciprocated
and the situation different
if a person lives alone.

The default option:
Invoke the grace of God
the universal spirit-lifter
Can anybody witness the present
without His blessings?
