Life Poem by Craig Fieldings

Life

Rating: 4.5

The sound of the crashing of the water’s crest against the beaches rocks. The beginning of first light across the horizon. A dull then an increasing brighter orange shimmers across the span of sea.

Then the sun peeks it’s face little by little. It envelopes the earth with a radiant spectacular yellow glow. Every day it visits the sea and everyday the sea welcomes her. Some of us will see it rise and fall, others will not.

Life is a cycle that bears no bounds. It takes care of it’s own, the plan is already set, existence is its only concern. We see it, feel it, taste it, and hear it everyday yet its still a mystery to us.

As far back as man, the question has been what is the purpose of our existence? And where are we going? These are the questions that will remain in the dark for now. However, one thing for certain we were not the first and won’t be the last to walk across this great land called Mother Earth.
