Let Me Drink Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Let Me Drink

Rating: 3.8

Let us drink for the clouds
Who remind me of your
Dark veil under which you hide
Your face when you come to meet me
By the bushes of rose and marigold;
And drink for the raindrops too
That let me run after you when
Love does not tolerate our union
And you shed tears on my palms
To wash your memory off my mind;
And I drink for emerging sunshine
That guides me where you are
Sitting under a canopy of raw bushes
You light the lamp of love and wait
For me to take you into my arms;
Let me drink one more cup.
