Lest We Kill The Immortal Poem by Muhiba Naik

Lest We Kill The Immortal

Rating: 5.0

When ye slit the throat
of a fellow
Tenderness breathed its last...
When ye smiled at woeful
To seek thy pleasure
Mankind closed its eyes...
Breathing someone's air Oh You
I pity
Humankind choked with fury...
When ye relish their pain
A saddened me wishes to say
Sympathy was hanged Oh dear...
When goodness got killed
In the midst of tussle
Innocence got buried in the dust of blood...
When they laid helpless
And none served
I say world ended then...
When you washed thy hands
With the tears that flowed
Benevolence died a brutal death
O mankind, listen
Listen to the voices unheard
Humanity cries in despair...
O people watch
Why don't you?
Humanity lays abandoned...
O friends of mine
I plead
Wake up or else it dies...

When goodness got killed Innocence got buried in the dust of blood... humanity cries in despair...... oh listen, listen to the cries.............. very well with full emotion you pictured the cry of these days everywhere in the world. Brutally killing has become the norm of the day........ very nice poem. thank you.
