Larry Poem by Poetry Falcon

Larry

Why can't we be friends?
That's a dumb question.
The answer is obvious
Why even ask?

You're the only one
Who is able to take me away
To help me forget
At least momentarily
This boy who has my heart
Entangled in his web.

Our connection was random
Thank you, Larry, you're the man
Made this connection possible
Sports, soccer, life
Only thing is you're just a baby.

Your words make me tingle
Make my heart skip a beat
Make my imagination run wild
Make my body pulsate from within

But this distance is our worst enemy
For we would be trouble
Unrivalled intense yearning
Oh how great it would be
To fulfill our desire repeatedly

But I have to respect you
Now you have someone
Your time divided
Such is life
But I understand
Cannot even be upset
For if the source of my heartache
Cared as much as I do
You probably wouldn't exist
DMs unrequited
Most definitely
