Lahore Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lahore

Rating: 3.5

Lahore

In this city with many beggars
In this city of many dilemmas
In such city, of many conflicts
There are hidden stories filled
With facts
The footstep of first European
Intention, destroying our unity
Our past, usefulness, humanity
Beneficial for English security
Saadi's books
But dumb, doesn't understand
In school they were textbooks
As were in Kazan and beyond
We've lost; the best for worst
Wise learns
